How to prepare for your energy session

Start by setting an intention. 

Maybe you know why you want a Lighthearted energy session, maybe you don't. If you know what you need, i.e. pain relief, a surge of energy, more balance in your life, clarity around a situation, then take a few minutes to ask the Source, God, the Universe (names don't matter, you know) to allow your session to fulfill your wish(es). 

Be good to your body. 

Try to eat healthy foods and refrain from using substances (alcohol/drugs) at least 48 hours before your session. If you're taking medication, please continue to do so. Healthy foods provide your body with the energy it needs. Drugs and alcohol depress the flow of energy in you, so using/consuming before an energy session is counterproductive. 

Drink plenty of water.

It's a good idea to water down before your session begins, and that goes for live and distance sessions. Water cleanses your body creating a smooth channel. When you're hydrated, it's easy for the energy to flow easily throughout your energy field and your body. 

If you booked a distance session, please find a comfy space in your home or in nature.

Distance sessions take place when you're ready. I flow the energy to you, you find the time and space to receive the flow. I usually recommend that you lie down and relax, but you can call the flow through at any time or place. Make sure that you’re comfortable. Try to ensure that you won’t be disturbed. Turn off your phone, close the door, do whatever you need to disconnect from the world around you.

If you booked an in person session, please show up on time.

We will spend just a few minutes chatting and then we’ll jump right into your session. Dress comfy and prepare to chill out. The Universe will take care of the rest.

Ground your energy.

If you're new to energy healing know this: energy is real and it's powerful. Grounding your energy is essential to keeping your feet on the ground and your head out of the clouds. What's the problem with having our head in the clouds? Headaches, for one. How can you ground? The easiest way is to get outside and stop your feet on the ground. You can also touch dirt. If neither one of those options sound great to you, try a grounding meditation (there are a million on Youtube). 

Stay open.

And by that I mean stay open to whatever flows your way. Aside from your own experience receiving the energy I will share any intuitive guidance that flows through me during your live or remote session. If we are together this guidance may come by means of a conversation about a seemingly random thing that actually has great meaning for you. I never quite understand the information that flows through, but that won't be the case for you. If you have questions, ask. If you want to talk, please do. If you don't want to talk, don't. This is your Reiki session…as long as you're open to the energy the energy is open to you. 

Whatever you do, make a plan to enjoy the deep self-care you are granting to yourself. You deserve it.
